Stop Discord from Banning BotGhost

Stop Discord from Banning BotGhost
The issue
To all users of NHK Creative Products: Read the statement of services affected here: https://hatkid.xyz/update
Discord has just threatened a major community resource, the hosting platform BotGhost, forcing them to immediately cease operations without any prior communication or warning. This decision has left many users, including myself, in a state of shock and confusion. It's particularly distressing for someone like me, who has invested years of work into developing bots using BotGhost. The platform is a cornerstone for numerous communities, providing vital services that adhere to Discord's Terms of Service and standard industry practices.
The sudden decision by Discord will mean that BotGhost will be forcibly shut down by July 13th unless they overhaul their entire operational flow. This demand not only puts users like me at risk of losing years of dedication and potential financial investments but also raises concerns about the transparency and fairness of Discord's decision-making processes.
BotGhost serves as more than just a service—it's a thriving ecosystem for countless developers worldwide. By shutting it down with no warning, Discord is setting a precedent that could stifle innovation and community growth on its platform. It's crucial for Discord to engage in open dialogues with hosting platforms, offering clear guidelines and actionable feedback rather than abrupt shutdown threats. Such transparency ensures that platforms like BotGhost can continue to operate effectively and in compliance with Discord's expectations.
We urge Discord to reconsider its decision to shut down BotGhost. Instead, Discord should work collaboratively with such platforms, guiding them to meet necessary compliance standards while recognizing their vital contributions to the community.
Sign this petition to call on Discord for clearer communication policies and to allow BotGhost to continue serving the community without unwarranted interruptions.
