Hey everyone! I hope your day is going well.

I have an important update for everyone following our effort to protect Ukrainians under Temporary Protected Status plus an update on car Armored Truck for the frontlines.

At this moment, we are less than €2,000 away from donating another armered truck for the frontlines. This one would be going to The 'White Demons', UAV Battalion, 53rd Brigade.

If you would like to help us donate our 2nd car, please click HERE

When it comes to TPS for Ukraine

Immigration attorneys are now saying that Ukraine’s TPS designation was automatically extended for six months by operation of federal law, potentially protecting TPS beneficiaries through April 19, 2027.

Here’s what happened:

The current Ukraine TPS designation is scheduled to expire on October 19, 2026. Under federal law, DHS is required to review the designation and determine whether the conditions for TPS continue to exist.

That brought us to an extremely important deadline: August 20, 2026.

DHS did not publicly announce a termination of Ukraine TPS by that deadline.

Several immigration attorneys and the Ukraine Immigration Task Force now argue that this triggered the provision in federal law stating that, in the absence of the required determination, the TPS designation is automatically extended for six months.

If that interpretation holds, Ukraine TPS would now continue through April 19, 2027.

However, there is an important catch.

DHS and USCIS have not yet published the Federal Register notice or updated guidance clearly confirming this six-month extension. USCIS guidance currently still references October 19, 2026, including for certain Ukrainian TPS employment authorization documents.

That means there is still uncertainty, particularly regarding EADs and what documentation Ukrainians will be able to provide to employers after October 19.

I also had reached out to DHS on Saturday, and as of this moment, I have not gotten an answer.

For that reason, our work is not finished.

Our petition has helped bring national attention to this issue, and we delivered thousands of signatures and hundreds of personal stories directly to officials in Washington.

We will continue pushing DHS for an official clarification and for meaningful protection for Ukrainians who have built their lives in the United States while Russia’s war continues.

I will update everyone immediately when DHS, USCIS, or the Federal Register publishes official guidance.

Thank you to every single person who signed, shared, contributed, and told their story. We are making sure the Ukrainian community is heard.
