10/25 Community Meeting Recap: On Saturday 10/25, PG County officials hosted a community meeting on data centers and over 450 residents came out with a clear message: no data centers! At first, the task force put residents in breakout tables, but the people wanted their voices to be heard. A chant broke out “let us talk!” and the task force was forced to open the floor for a town hall style conversation. The overwhelming majority of comments were unified in raising concerns about environmental racism, energy and water use, rising utility bills, and that the PG officials were not doing enough to protect the residents from these harms.

Remember that the people have all the power. This struggle has shown that when the people are united and organized, we have what it takes to defeat the Big Tech and billionaire agenda! Let’s keep up the fight!
