Online influencers such as Dassocari and JGetLit have been harassing the students and residents of Statesboro for too long! While they do hold the first amendment right to film and videograph, they refuse to remove any of the videos down regardless of the video subjects wishes. They have filmed at least HUNDREDS of students unknowingly and continue to post them regardless of if they’re sober or don’t interact (which shouldn’t matter but they love to mention this rebuttal.) Most students have admitted that the new accessory of white Ray Ban Meta glasses makes this even easier for them and harder for the individual to know if they’re being filmed since the flash blends in with the glasses. We’re just trying to show that people would like to be aware of if they’re being filmed or not or at least be allowed to respectfully ask to not be posted! That’s not saying don’t film it’s just saying film in a good ethical manner that makes students comfortable!
