Thankyou so much for your support towards the petition, the positive feedback has been amazing. However, to get Hampshire County Council to listen to it, and (hopefully) implement the changes proposed in it, it'll need a couple of thousand signatures, so please if you haven't already, take a moment to share it (and tag me if it's on Instagram/twitter @save_the_house_sparrow so I can retweet it etc).
If you have already shared it, why not take it a step further, and email your local Council/MP about the petition, and managing roads near you for wildlife as well as people. Also on the website is a summary I wrote this morning about the 'science' behind the management guidelines, so if you're interested in finding out how the whole thing actually works, go to the website ( wwww.savethehousesparrow.com ) click on the three lines / where it says 'blog' at the top of the page (depending on a phone or laptop) and it'll be at the top of the page.
