A lot of conversations were had throughout this last week. Cultural arts, zoning, permits, Colorado yurt company aka secret creek outdoor company and an attempt to speak at city hall (that’s a whole other update)! 
It seems as if the proper permits were not pulled when the tipi was set up as well as some code violations. According to a conversation, they would be served a stop to work order, meaning it would be inaccessible. Shuga’s would then have 15 days to decide how they would like to proceed by obtaining the proper permits and pay fines or remove the tipi. 
I have diligently attempted to make contact but only receive lack of acknowledgement for our concern, trauma, use of other cultures and have chosen blatant disrespect of an entire population. As our support grows the wounds and trauma that we may individually carry can be difficult to manage. I personally cannot detour the individual response of being blatantly disrespected. I do intend to assemble with the community soon. Reach out!
