My journey with pornography addiction has taken a serious toll on my life, but more pertinently on my finances. I am struggling with crippling debt, a consequence of paying for pornography via credit cards. This decision was driven by the fact that credit card payments are easy and not instantly noticeable, as opposed to the immediate hit one experiences when using a debit card.

It's important to note the larger scope of this issue. According to research, millions of individuals globally struggle with pornography addiction. The use of credit cards makes it dramatically easier to fall into, and stay in, a cycle of consumption and addiction. This issue is not unique to me, but actually sprawls across the globe.

We need to address this issue at its root. Major credit card companies need to step up their game when it comes to their responsibility towards their users. By placing a block on pornography sites, they can help prevent the spiralling debt and addictions that result from easy and uncontrolled expenditure.
