وقعوا الان على هذه العريضة التي تطالب المجتمع الدولي و الأمم المتحدة  باستمرار الدعم الصحي والمساعدات الإنسانية لمواجهة وباء كورونا في اليمن

تفاقمت الأوضاع الصحية في اليمن بشكل كارثي ومتسارع بسبب تفشي وباء كورونا  في جميع  المحافظات اليمنية, في ظل شلل شبه كامل في النظام الصحي والخدمات الطبية حتى قبل الجائحة اذ انه لا يعمل سوى 50%  من المنشآت الطبية في البلاد, وهي تسعى بشق الأنفس للتصدي لتفشي أوبئة فتاكه أخرى مثل الكوليرا وحمى الضنك والتشيكونجونيا ( المكرفس) والملاريا وليس بمقدور المنشآت الصحية باليمن إلا استيعاب القليل من المرضي كما تواجه بعض المستشفيات إغلاقاً تاماً أمام الحالات الحرجة الأخرى والبعض يواجه نقصاُ حاداً في أجهزة التنفس الصناعي وأدوات الحماية الشخصية للطاقم الطبي وضعف في الكادر الصحي المؤهل لمواجهة الجائحة.

 وبحسب تقارير الأمم المتحدة فإن الحرب في اليمن قد جعلت نحو 80 % من السكان، أي 24.3 مليون نسمة بحاجة للمساعدة الإنسانية العاجلة ونصفهم من الأطفال والنساء, كما ان أكثر من 5 ملايين طفل يواجهون خطر الكوليرا والإسهالات المائية الحاده.

بالإضافة إلى صدور قرار من المانحين بعدم إستمرارية دعم 80% من برامج الرعاية الصحية الأولية ولاسيما المجتمعية منها والتي كانت تساعد علي تقديم المساعدة العاجلة للفقراء وسكان المناطق البعيدة والتي تفتقر إلى مراكز رعاية صحية أولية وخدمات معالجة سوء التغذية والتطعيمات.

كما تشهد المناطق السكانية العالية الكثافة في الشمال والجنوب دمارًا واسع النطاق ناجم عن الأمطار الغزيرة والفيضانات التي فاقمت من انهيار البنية البيئية والصحية وساعدت علي تدهور وانحدار خطير في إنتشار الأمراض المعدية الفتاكة وارتفاع حاد في نسبه الوفيات، خاصة في عدن والحديدة وتعز والمحافظات المجاورة.

إلى جميع حكومات العالم ومنظمات الأمم المتحدة :

نحن الموقعون أدناه على هذه العريضة إذ نؤكد بأن جهودكم السابقة ودعمكم للشعب اليمني على الرغم من التحديات التي تواجهونها قد ساهمت في إنقاذ الكثيرين , فإننا نناشدكم ونناشد ضمائر العالم الحر في الإستمرار بمضاعفة الجهود بما يساهم في تعزيز الدور الإنساني في إنقاذ ملايين الأرواح، والحد من إنتشار المرض والموت والخروج من هذه الازمة لتأمين الدعم الكافي والأموال والمساعدات الصحية العاجلة أو من خلال تمويل برامج الطوارئ والإغاثة لمساعدتنا في اليمن على الاستجابة بفعالية لوباء كورونا, ومكافحة انتشاره القاتل وضمان بناء قدرات صحية مستدامة قوية , ودعم السلطات الفاعلة في الاستجابة للوباء، وإرسال الخبراء المختصين والفاعلين وتقديم النصائح المناسبة في البروتوكولات التقنية بما يغطي كل المستلزمات الضرورية اللازمة لمواجهة Covid-19 ومحاولة رفع الدعم و إنشاء مستشفيات ميدانية عاجله في جميع المحافظات المتضررة تتضمن أنظمة فرز فعالة لتخفيف الضغط على النظام الصحي المتهالك والمتداعي والمستشفيات العاملة بما يساهم في تعزيز الدور الانساني في انقاذ ملايين الأرواح، والحد من انتشار المرض، والخروج من هذه الازمة.

 

We ask you to join us in signing this petition calling on the international community and the United Nations to continue the health and humanitarian assistance to tackle the COVID19 pandemic in Yemen

The health situation in Yemen has catastrophically aggravated in the past years due to the ongoing conflict and the recurrent outbreaks of infectious diseases. The already weak health system has suffered from accelerated and unprecedented deterioration and is under real threat of total collapse due to the ongoing outbreak of COVID19 that has spread almost all over Yemen.

Currently, only 50% of the medical facilities in Yemen are functioning, and with the recurrent and continues outbreaks of cholera, dengue, chikungunya, and malaria, the health facilities in Yemen are only able to absorb few patients, some hospitals face complete closures due to the overwhelming number of critical cases, where many hospitals face severe shortages of ventilators and personal protection equipment’s needed for medical staff, add to that the weak capacity and training of the health staff facing the pandemic.

According to United Nations reports, the conflict in Yemen has made about 80% of the population, “24.3 million people”, in need of urgent humanitarian assistance, half of them are children and women, and more than 5 million children face the risk of cholera and acute watery diarrhea.

In addition, the decision was taken by the international donors not to continue supporting 80% of the primary health care programs in Yemen, that are essential for community support, providing urgent assistance to the poor people living in remote areas that lack essential health services such as primary health care services that provide treatment to malnutrition and essential vaccinations can have a severe negative impact.

The high-density populated areas in the north and south are also witnessing widespread destruction caused by heavy rains and floods that impaired the already collapsed infrastructure and increased the spread of deadly infectious diseases that contributed to a sharp rise in mortality, especially in Aden, Hodeidah, Taiz and the neighboring governorates.

We, the people signing this petition, confirm that your previous efforts and support for the Yemeni people despite the challenges you face have contributed in saving many life’s, we appeal to you to continue your humanitarian efforts in limiting the spread of illness, securing adequate support, funds and urgent health assistance, and funding emergency and relief programs to help us in Yemen respond effectively to the COVID19 pandemic.

We depend on you to help us combat the COVID19 deadly spread, and to ensure strong and sustainable health capacity building, support the effective authorities in responding to the pandemic, and through your specialized experts, provide appropriate technical advice to cover all the necessary requirements to confront the COVID19, and to support the establishment of urgent field hospitals in all affected governorates, and to enhance the screening systems and testing capacities that can contribute in saving millions of lives in Yemen.
