Please keep supporting this effort. I already contacted Kroger Co. and asked the company to start selling "cosmetically not perfect produce" in their chain stores. The answer I got is below. Basically Kroger Co. needs to hear from more customers.
So, please call Kroger Co. at 1-800-576-4377 and use the reference case number 22200626.
When you call the Kroger Customer Care, the points you could make:
1- Kroger is a company so large, it has the power to change the way the grocery industry behaves.
2- Selling ugly produce could help farmers, who are forced to toss perfectly good fruit simply because grocers won’t buy the uglies.
3- asking Kroger, America’s largest grocer, to commit to selling “ugly” produce to help reduce waste and make fruits and vegetables more affordable for those who need it most.
