Two new papers have been written by Bearnairdine Beaumont (Aerotoxic researcher and campaigner - photo above).
The first of these is to help those affected by exposure to toxic fumes onboard aircraft and more importantly to help the healthcare professionals who encounter these victims of Cabin Air Contamination Events (CACE’s) in A&E Departments/Emergency Rooms in hospitals.

Bearnairdine Beaumont
‘Teaching Paper: A Diagnostic Workup for the clinician to follow in order to determine the correct diagnosis for patients presenting with ‘undefined’ symptoms and without immediately recognisable links, but with a pattern of signs and symptoms that could be from inhalation poisoning after a flight on which a Cabin Air Contamination Event (CACE) occurred.
This paper presents the main strategies used to date by physicians who have diagnosed CACE patients. It is a useful tool for diagnosis and follow-up of a patient presenting with a list of symptoms that could be mimicking many other illnesses. When patients present with symptoms such as, i.e. blood pressure, brain fog and dizziness, it is vital to listen to them as they may mention that they are coming directly from the airport and a flight, which is essential information. The patient's symptoms must not be diagnosed as simple ‘jet-lag’, the possible reason being:
An increasing number of so-called "cabin air quality events "or "fume" events in aircraft happen daily worldwide. The cabin air becomes polluted with unfiltered emissions from the engines. These fumes entering the cabin air contain substances from various chemical families (i.e. organophosphates) that are known to be harmful to the endocrine system and nervous system or listed as cancerogenic.’

This is the second recently published paper:
‘Research: Cabin Air Quality Events (CACE) Neurotoxicity—the poisoning of the brain and nervous system—is a well-documented effect of exposure to many chemical substances. A person who has suffered a severe chemical injury is likely to have sustained considerable damage to his or her brain and nervous system. A multitude of chemical substances is present in (contaminated) aircraft cabin air (CACE = Cabin Air Contamination Events).’

These papers are Bearnairdine’s parting gift to the Aerotoxic campaign as she is retiring after many years of exhausting research & campaigning, highlighting the dangers of breathing toxic air onboard aircraft and the subsequent harm which can be caused to health. She has contributed so much despite her own injuries from exposure to contaminated air onboard aircraft.
As most of us who have been similarly injured know, trying to do any type of work even for a few hours a day (and all voluntarily in order to help others, as Bearnairdine has done) after sustaining Aerotoxic injury is very difficult indeed. It can be immensely frustrating, tiring and sometimes completely draining.
We understand why Bearnairdine has made the decision to stop and the need to concentrate on more important things such as her own health and mental wellbeing.
On behalf of all those involved in this campaign and the hundreds, if not thousands of people Bearnairdine has helped and supported - I would like to say thank you. You have always been there for everyone and have been truly inspirational to us all. You will be sorely missed as will your knowledge, tenacity and great sense of humour.

The website Bearnairdine built and financed herself (along with kind donations along the way) contains much needed information, data and studies on the subject of Aerotoxicity and Aerotoxic Syndrome.
Bearnairdine has kindly offered to maintain it, but in order to keep this website up and running to help campaigners and those who may need information & answers after suffering injury in the future, financial support is desperately needed.
Please consider making a donation, no matter how small through the link here:

Thank You.
