The photograph above shows an ‘Appendix’ issued recently by IATA- The International Air Transport Association. It is a TRADE* Association (*note) of the World’s Airlines. IATA supports airline activity and helps formulate industry policy and standards. It is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with Executive Offices in Geneva, Switzerland. Note how the title of Fume Event or Odour Event has been changed to CAQE (Cabin Air Quality Events).

IATA, the CAA and the UK Government base their findings and knowledge of Contaminated Air In Aircraft on ONE study - The Cranfield Report Of 2011.

A leading and respected Bio Chemist, Professor Clement E. Furlong - PhD. Biochemistry, BA Chemistry - University of Washington &  Postdoctoral fellowship Biochemistry and Molecular Biology - Cornell University 1968-1970 said:

‘The Cranfield Report (Crump et al, 2011a,b) exemplifies the futility of trying to do a prospective study of cabin air quality. It will be much more efficient and informative to follow the health of individuals known to have experienced significant fume exposures. The significance of the exposures is readily verified by the ill health of aircrew following exposures and, in many cases, these data already exist.
