Mise à jour sur la pétitionStop contaminated cabin air in aircraft! How many more have to die before Governments take action?

‘After an initial post-mortem examination failed to find a cause of death, Mr. Bass’s parents paid for a second test in the Netherlands.
This, they said, revealed the presence of specific toxins in their son’s body’.
(Daily Mail - July 2015).
These ‘specific toxins’ were organophosphates.
Organophosphates along with VOC’s (volatile organic compounds), such as Benzene, Toluene, Xylene and many others are present in aircraft oil. These toxins are hazardous to human health but are released into aircraft cockpits and passenger cabins through the bleed-air system for Ventilation & air conditioning on most aircraft. Usually these are released (according to Government Studies - ie. The Cranfield Study) in small concentrations which Governments, Airlines and Regulators declare are in such small concentrations that they will not cause any harm.
BUT ...... what happens when crew and frequent flyers are are exposed to these small concentrations on a regular basis and these small amounts start building up in their bodies?
What happens when their bodies are no longer able to process and eliminate this build up of toxins from their bodies?
During a FUME EVENT (failure of the seal to the engine) high concentrations of these toxins are released into the aircraft. To date there are no records to determine the concentrations of these harmful toxins released during a Fume Event because it has never been recorded.
Benzene (as an example) is highly carcinogenic.
The numbers of crew deaths from Cancer is alarmingly high.
How much longer before Airlines, Governments and Regulators admit there is a problem?
How many more young people have to die unnecessarily before any action is taken?
Matt’s Mum’s name is Fiona. (The Daily Mail didn’t know her name). As a Mum myself I can’t even begin to imagine the sadness and turmoil she is enduring. It is 4 years since her son died from organophosphate poisoning, yet the establishment are refusing to acknowledge that fact.
British Airways (Matt’s Employer) refuse to believe that there is even the possibility of crew and passengers being poisoned by toxic fumes on their aircraft. So you can see what this family are up against.
My thoughts are with Fiona, Charlie (Matt’s Dad) and all of Matt’s family.
