Petition updateStop contaminated cabin air in aircraft!Excerpt from Email from a Boeing Engineer in 2007

Trudie DaddCrewkerne, ENG, United Kingdom

Dec 31, 2017
I am hoping 2018 will be the year that Governments, Regulators and Airlines stop sweeping the issue of toxicity in the cockpit and cabin under the carpet - as they have been for so many years.
This Boeing internal email is from 2007 - 10 years ago!, yet Governments, Regulators and Airlines continue to hide behind a flawed study & report by Cranfield University (in which only 150 flights were measured - and none experienced a Fume Event) to categorically state that Cockpit & Cabin Air is safe!
I am going to share many documents - which I hope will make those of you unaffected by toxic fumes onboard aircraft as outraged and angry as those who have been affected - by one of the biggest cover-ups of this century.
Aerotoxic Syndrome is real, but still remains unrecognised.
At least there was one positive step forward in 2017. The NHS Clear Pathway was published on the CAA Website to advise medical professionals how to treat passengers and crew who have been exposed onboard aircraft. At least they have stopped denying it happens. I hope that in 2018 the medical professionals are taught more about this exposure, because A&E departments in the UK still have no information and do not know how to treat individuals who have been exposed on flights.
I wish you all a Very Happy New Year and thank you for signing the petition.
