ACCC Chairman Rod Sims has called on the government for more funding to protect consumers from arrogant, rogue companies. This is systemic in the new car and recreational vehicle industries.

This petition was one strong factor in getting the government to strengthen the Australian Consumer Law and increase the penalties for breaches to a minimum of $10m. The deterrent is there but needs to be enforced. It can't be enforced without funding.
