Help support good governance in Port Moody!
With over $3,000 already raised, we're well on our way but we need your help to go further.
Please donate today so we can bring this conflict of interest question before the courts and set a precedent, not just for Port Moody, but for all of BC.
At the heart of this is a simple principle: a paid lobbyist and an elected councilor serve fundamentally different masters. Lobbyists are paid to influence government regarding development. Councilors are paid to represent residents. There are rules meant to keep those roles separate. We need a judge to weigh in on how those rules should be enforced.
Court proceedings are costly, and that's where your contribution makes all the difference. Every dollar brings us closer to a ruling that could strengthen democratic accountability across the province.
Thank you for signing our Change.org campaign and spreading the word. Democracy shouldn't have a price tag — but when it does, this is our chance to make it count.
