This is a huge problem: some manufacturers can remotely make your devices — which YOU OWN — completely useless. This practice is anti-consumer and unfair.

Consumers should have the right to fully use their devices, including the ability to install or run other software in case it gets bricked.

A recent example is the Nintendo Switch 2, which reportedly can be bricked simply by changing the voltage, rendering the console useless.
