Attention, Mayor Davis and Missoula City Council members,

 City Parks “Purpose”

…”to encourage and enhance the publics recreational experience and use of City owned public parks, trails, and conservation lands within the City; while at the same time establishing reasonable restrictions and limitations intended to preserve and protect these lands and the people using these lands as well as the native vegetation on some of these lands and the wildlife that live in or use these lands and to allow the publics shared multi-purpose use of these lands to be a more satisfying and pleasurable recreational experience.

City Parks Restrictions:
 
 
12.40.010 A. All city parks shall be closed between the hours of 11 P.M. to 6 A.M. 
12.40.010 B. It is unlawful to camp in any public park, conservation land, parking lot, boulevard, etc… 
These rules were established in 1994. They have been serving our community well for the last 30 years.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now! 

We request that the ordinance to allow camping in our public parks be repealed.
