The stark reality of bull fighting and bull riding is inescapable—all participants suffer for the fleeting glory of pleasing spectators. The bull, a magnificent creature full of life, is thrust into a world of pain and fear against its will, subject to an agonizing dance of death that only delights those who turn a blind eye to the animal's silent suffering.

Bull riding, though less theatrical than its counterpart, follows the same cruel principle. The bulls endure immense stress and serious risk of injury. It stands as a glaring contradiction to the values of empathy and respect that should define us. The human ego and quest for fleeting fame should never come at the cost of an animal's well-being.

In our modern society, it is ethically unacceptable to derive any form of entertainment from the deliberate torment of another living being. The World Society for the Protection of Animals has repeatedly highlighted the plight faced by these animals, emphasizing the urgent need for change.

Statistics paint a grim picture: each year, thousands of bulls meet a gruesome fate, while more are subjected to the harsh conditions of bull riding events in numerous locations. In both scenarios, the bulls have no agency, no voice, and must rely on us to speak out on their behalf.

We call upon governments in Spain and the Americas to regulate, if not altogether ban, these practices. Instead, let us channel our creativity and cultural fondness into events that celebrate life, not exploit it.
