Thank you to everyone who has signed to support the New York Public Library and this petition. 

But we still need your help!

Two weeks ago, it was announced by the Mayor’s Administration that an additional round of budget cuts will be implemented, which means that the original $36.2 million dollar budget cuts will be significantly increased to a staggering $52.7 million dollars. This new budget cut proposal will be the largest budget cut that the New York Public Library has faced in over a decade! 

You can still help prevent this by continuing to share this petition but ALSO signing a new petition (link is below) that has been officially started by the New York Public Library. The new petition will be sent in letter form to Mayor Eric Adams, City Council members Adrienne Adams, Keith Powers, Justin Brannan, Chi Ossé, and your own local Councilmembers.

We only have a few more weeks left before the City Council votes on these proposals. Tell them you stand with the NYPL!
