I've yet to receive written confirmation of Bruny Island Airport status and lease agreement. I've asked for details on any landing or parking restrictions. I was told there were details on Kingborough Council's Facebook page confirming the airport is staying open but I've yet to locate it. In a special meeting held on 13/6/18 Kingborough Council allocated $4,643,000 for capital works on roads, bridges and jetties in 2018/19 financial year. I've made a request that council extend that item to include airports next year. Considering that the land was donated to the council as a gift to ratepayers it's probably reasonable that it's looked after by the council.
