Students deserve the freedom to read diverse stories and learn about different cultures, histories, and experiences. Banning books, especially those about race, LGBTQ+ lives, and social justice, silences important voices. Every student should have the right to a complete education that includes different perspectives. Our schools should be spaces of learning, not censorship. We call on the school board to stand up for students’ rights and stop book bans now.
