Stop Book Bans and Curriculum Censorship in Dallas Schools

Stop Book Bans and Curriculum Censorship in Dallas Schools
The Issue
Across Texas, far-right political groups are targeting public schools by banning books, censoring science, and silencing teachers. Now it’s happening closer to home.
In places like Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, school boards have erased chapters about vaccines and climate change, fired librarians, and handed control of school policies to political operatives. This same playbook is starting to show up in school districts around Dallas. Parents and educators are being pushed aside while extremist groups try to rewrite what our kids are allowed to learn.
Dallas families deserve better. We need school boards that focus on education, not political agendas. Our libraries should reflect the diversity of our communities, and our classrooms should be places where students can ask questions, explore new ideas, and learn about the real world.
We’re calling on Dallas-area school leaders to stand firm against censorship and political interference. That means trusting our educators, protecting access to inclusive and accurate learning materials, and putting students first—always.
Our children should not have to grow up in a school system built on fear and control. Let’s keep politics out of the classroom and give every student the honest, well-rounded education they deserve.
Sign this petition if you believe Dallas students deserve the truth.
