Stop Billboard at Kidstreet - (previous billboard applications pulled)

Stop Billboard at Kidstreet - (previous billboard applications pulled)
The Issue
There were 4 proposed electronic monuments/billboards being considered for the township at the following locations:
1) Kid-Street
2) Raritan Circle
3) US 22 across from the Bridgewater Diner
4) Garretson Road by the US-22/US-28 intersection
Catalyst Experiential, based at 3400 West Chester Pike, Newton Town Square, Pennsylvania, has submitted applications to erect these electronic monuments throughout Bridgewater. They have pulled the applications for Raritan Circle, US 22, and Garretson Road. The only one left is Kidstreet.
This company is known for the past decade of going into towns that don't allow electronic billboards/monuments and installing them regardless of whether the residents want them or not.
Bridgewater is very restrictive and does not permit free standing signs that have flashing or moving signs, with the exception for time and temperature. Therefore, Catalyst Experiential is asking for variances and waivers from the Bridgewater Township to allow them to install these electronic signs.
Some of the variances and waivers they are asking the township to consider are:
1. Increase sign dimensions from 150 to 850 square feet
2. Increase the height of the sign from 25 to 44 feet
3. Decrease distance to highways from 200 to 3 feet
4. Eliminate the requirement of conservation plan
5. Eliminate the requirement exterior lighting plan
6. Eliminate the requirement of environmental impact study
To top it all off, they are asking for a waiver to even allow a billboard/monument sign to be erected since they are not even allowed per township ordinance chapter 126, Article XXIV, Section 126-195 F(9) :”Advertising signs shall not be permitted in any zone district in the township.”
We don't want our small town charm to change into a commercial light show no matter what major highway you are using to get here. We are also are appalled that they are selling out our beloved Kidstreet to the company where the Senator's Daughter's is currently the VP of Development. Senator Steinhardt is currently renting space in our township building for his office for only $300 a month.
We need to stand together to let the Mayor and Council know that our township is not for sale to real estate developers or for political gains.
Upcoming meetings where we need you to voice your opinion:
Zoning Meeting March 21, 2023 @ 7pm (For signs 2-4) - watch meeting https://youtu.be/d3Vlb2a9ba4 and https://youtu.be/83Km0jm3SZ4
Planning Board Meeting April 11, 2023 @ 7pm (For Kidstreet Sign)
Town Council Meeting April 20, 2023 @ 7:30pm (For Kidstreet sign)
Sign our waiver and we will be presenting this waiver at the April 20th Council meeting.
We will also be posting additional information on Facebook and www.Change4Bridgewater.org
