Stop Biased Reporting Against Hindu and Sanatan Community
The Issue
Members of the Hindu and Sanatan community, we have been deeply affected by the biased reporting of major media outlets such as CANADA NEWS:- Toronto Star, National Post
US NEWS:-Time Magazine, and BBC, The Guardian, The Telegraph, CTV, CBC, Associated Press, Financial Times,
AUSRALIAN NEWS :- ABC, SBS and 9News, VOANews,
& also Al Jazeera and a few Gulf region media houses.

These media houses have consistently published articles that ignite communal disharmony and threaten security among various religious segments in India and global communities.
Most of media reports published by these publishing outlets were based on prejudiced and biased opinions and were not based on the factual and truthful information. These media groups have persistently been targeting against Hindu Community and have been highlighting Anti-Hindu news and which had been spreading Hinduphobia and Hate against Hindus in USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, UK and globally , destroying the communal peace in these countries and also creating risks and fear among Hindus.
These publishing houses did not share the facts of Ayodhya Temple and highlighted untruthful news and did not deliberately shared that that Ram Temple was originally at that place about 500+ years ago. This original temple was ruthlessly destroyed by the then Moghul Ruler Babar, who invaded India and destroyed the temple and spread the bloodshed in the City and built a Mosque over the Temple.
Hindus, have always been followers of Peace and Love and have always followed with the principles of “Vashudheva Kutumbkam (That means entire World is One Family) and hence, despite being the Majority community of India, always followed the legal battle and democratic path to restore the Temple. After long legal battle which was fought for over 500+Years and then Supreme Court of India’s judges which also consisted One Muslim Judge have unanimously gave a verdict that the Temple should be rebuilt. The Court judgement was based on long many years legal contentions from both sides, supporting, historical facts and documents.
A notable instance was on January 21, 2024 when these media groups reported on the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Their coverage was not only biased but also seemed to be a deliberate attempt to create discord within our community. This is not an isolated incident but a pattern that has persisted over time.
The role of media is crucial in shaping public opinion and fostering mutual respect among diverse communities. However, these instances of prejudiced reporting undermine this role by promoting misinformation about our community.
We believe in freedom of speech but it should not be used as a tool for spreading bias or prejudice against any community or religion. We urge these media outlets to uphold their journalistic ethics by providing balanced coverage that respects all communities equally.
We call upon everyone who believes in fair journalism to sign this petition urging Toronto Star, Time Magazine ,BBC The Guardian, The Telegraph, CTV, CBC, Associated Press, Financial Times, and Australian Media- ABC, SBS & 9 News to stop their biased reporting against Hindu & Sanatan Community.
