Our petition will be debated in Parliament on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, at 5:45 PM in the Upper House. This is the moment we have been waiting for. 

After months of campaigning and over 4,000 signatures (paper & e-petition), we've reached this crucial moment to hold those responsible to account.

The more signatures we present to Parliament, the stronger our voice when Ann-Marie Hermans MP stands as our advocate, exposing this fundamentally flawed decision and demanding immediate reversal with full accountability for those responsible.  This debate is our opportunity to show Parliament and State Government that we stand against this unilateral decision that created division, destroyed heritage, and profoundly undermined democracy.

State Government used ministerial direction to bypass the required community consultation and secretly renamed Berwick Springs Lake. But this is about more than Berwick Springs Lake, it's about setting a dangerous precedent for Victoria's 6,000 places set for renaming.
