The city had originally requested BC Housing to provide alternative transportation methods due to the lack of parking on site. BC Housing has failed to promise these solutions and thus likely will not proceed with the development. We have heard the word going around that the development has been cancelled. The funding of housing projects have heavily been impacted by the latest news of the BC government cutting funds as mentioned on Vancouver Sun. We are awaiting further confirmation as BC Housing has not made any public formal announcements.
