I am writing to express my deep concern about the BC Housing project currently planned for our community on Kelly Ave in Port Coquitlam. As a resident, I have significant reservations about this development particularly regarding the lack of transparency, community consultation, and the potential impact on safety and the overall well-being of our neighbourhood.

While I understand the importance of addressing housing needs across British Columbia, especially for vulnerable groups of individuals, I believe that this specific project has not been adequately communicated to residents, nor does it appear to consider the unique needs or concerns of our area. Many people in our community feel invalidated and excluded from meaningful dialogue about a development that will directly affect our daily lives.

I am asking for your support to advocate for our community. We need answers from BC Housing regarding key areas of concern, such as tenant criteria and operational plans. We also need assurance that this project is being managed with full transparency and with community input genuinely taken into account.
