Next Tuesday's 9:30am meeting between King County Council and King County Permitting is posted and they will be discussing the proposed BESS regulations!

Just as the other meetings, you can join remotely by joining th eonline meeting or calling in to make a comment... The public comment section is before the discussion period. 

If you can't attend the meeting, you can still make an official comment by emailing kcccomitt@kingcounty.gov before 8am next Tuesday (August 22nd)- see below for instructions
HOW TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT:
The Local Services and Land Use Committee values community input and looks forward to hearing from you on agenda items. There are three ways to provide public comment:
1. In person: You may attend the meeting and provide comment in the Council Chambers.
2. By email: You may comment in writing on current agenda items by submitting your email comments to kcccomitt@kingcounty.gov. If your email is received before 8:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting, your email comments will be distributed to the committee members and appropriate staff prior to the meeting.
3. Remote attendance at the meeting by phone or computer: You may provide oral comment on current agenda items during the meeting’s public comment period by connecting to the meeting via phone or computer using the ZOOM application at https://zoom.us/ and entering the webinar ID number: 875 1751 7363

PLEASE PLEASE if you can't join online or call in, PLEASE email  kcccomitt@kingcounty.gov before 8am next Tuesday (8/22/23) to share your opinions on what kind or rules/codes should be in place for BESS in King County- Like BESS are only allowed in Heavy industrial Zoned areas and they can not be within 1/2 a mile of a school or homes...
