🦌 Stop Backyard Deer Hunting in Saddle River, NJ!
📢 Saddle River, NJ has quietly approved yet ANOTHER YEAR of bow hunting in our town — WITHOUT A PUBLIC VOTE or asking OUR input as residents.

💔 Just last year (Sept 2024 – Feb 2025), 62 deer and 1 coyote were killed with razor-sharp arrows, often suffering before death. This was not an instant death in many cases.
➡️ And let’s be clear: coyotes are natural predators of deer. By killing a coyote, the town only made the deer so called problem worse.

 ❌ Why This Matters: This is cruel and inhumane.
It damages Saddle River’s reputation — one of the most desirable towns in America is being branded as a backyard slaughterhouse.
It was done without transparency — residents had no real say.
Saddle River should be known as a peaceful, family-oriented community, not a place where animals are slaughtered in our backyards.

We call on the Mayor and Council to:

🚫 Cancel the contract with United Bowhunters of New Jersey.
🌱 Explore nonlethal, science-based solutions for deer management.
🗣️ Involve residents in transparent decision-making before approving any future wildlife policies.
