Stop Apollo From Being Kicked Out!

Stop Apollo From Being Kicked Out!
The Issue
Hello neighbors,
Some of you may know me as Sam, and I’ve been a proud resident of Kaufmanns for over a year. I’m reaching out today to ask for your support on behalf of my dear friend and neighbor, Claire, who’s facing an urgent situation.
Claire’s dog, Apollo, is the sweetest, most gentle creature. He’s a midnight-black dog who looks like a wolf but is really just a big teddy bear. If you’ve seen him around, you know he’s usually very calm and well-behaved. He doesn’t get involved in any trouble unless provoked by other dogs, but he’s always kind and friendly to humans—he would never hurt anyone.
Recently, a new neighbor moved into our building and has been causing issues with Apollo. Without going into too much detail, it’s clear that their dog doesn’t get along with Apollo. Despite Claire being a wonderful resident here for over three years and never having any issues with other dogs, this new neighbor reported Apollo to the leasing office.
After three years of no incidents, the office told Claire that Apollo must wear a muzzle, and although it was uncomfortable for both Claire and Apollo, she complied. Unfortunately, things escalated on Friday night when I, along with two other residents, was playing a game in the lounge with Apollo. Apollo did not have his muzzle on because it very hot in the lounge (for those who have been in there lately you understand) and needed to drink water periodically. The new neighbors walked by with their dog, and while Apollo initially didn’t react, he barked a couple of times from behind the lounge’s enclosed glass door. He wasn’t muzzled at the time because he was inside an enclosed area. Despite this, the incident was reported, and now Claire has been given less than 72 hours to remove Apollo from the property.
We truly believe that these new residents are not genuinely afraid of Apollo but are intentionally stirring up trouble, and the leasing office seems to be siding with them for reasons that are unclear. Claire has been a loyal resident, and Apollo is a kind and harmless dog who deserves to stay here with her. There really is no need to remove Apollo either way, Claire is in the process of leaving the apartment in a little over a month anyways.
If we can gather enough support from fellow residents, we believe the office will have to allow Apollo to remain. Thank you to everyone who signs this petition to show that Apollo is a wonderful dog who deserves to stay in his home with his loving mom.
if you can sign in your partial name that would be helpful to confirm you are a resident, but if you need to do anonymously that is still helpful. Also after sending please send to ANYONE and everyone you know in the building please 🥹
Warm regards,
Sam
