Stop Anti-Trust Lawsuits against Valve

Das Problem

Steam currently faces a huge anti-trust lawsuit that has recently been expanded to a class-action lawsuit which might allow all entities who sold games on Steam in a certain timeframe to get a part of their fees back.

By creating Steam, Valve has arguably contributed more to the global gaming PC market than any other company in existence. There is not a single online game market place that can compete with Steam in terms of usability.

That being said, comparing Steam to online market places is wrong to begin with. Steam is the only platform that allows you to play games you bought on multiple devices, multiple operating systems and with integrated features like game overlay and controller support.

Putting a game on steam is free advertising. You'd have to spend tens of thousands of dollars in order to gain the same visibility on paid ads which you gain from simply releasing your game on steam.

For many games I bought on Steam, I never saw any ad and got no recommendation outside of steam. I bought it either because Steam suggested I might like it or because I found it in the Genre search feature.

Even Steam's chat is better than all other launchers.

I would never buy anything on Microsoft Store and only buy on Epic if the game is nowhere else to be found.

The fact that Epic games or Microsoft charge 15% for the horrible service they are offering makes it obvious to me that Steam has the right to charge their current rate or even more than they currently do, because I believe their service to be orders of magnitudes better then everything else.

Even online stores of gaming consoles cannot compete with the user friendliness of Steam.

I'm certain that many gamers share this sentiment and this petition is meant to show the world just how many.
