The Issue
I was devastated when I heard about animal testing and ever since then I knew I needed to help the poor animals. Animals are suffering and were just sitting here as if nothing is happening. Each year more than 110 Million animals including mice, rats, guinea pigs, bunnies, hamsters, cats, dogs, monkeys, fish, birds and more are killed in the U.S laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity-driven experimentation, and chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics testing. Help us stop them from hurting the poor animals. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said that they may stop animal testing by 2035 but that's still around 11 years away. But if we waited that long there would already be a ton more animals dead. The animals don't have a voice so we need to be their voice. There are many diseases that humans get that animals don't and animals are very different from humans and, therefore, react differently. But replacing animal testing does not mean putting human patients at risk. But instead we would be replacing animals used in testing with computers and math. Modelling bio processes can predict the effects of chemicals and drugs. Using simple organisms, such as bacteria, to study basic bio processes. It will also improve the quality as well as the humanity of our science. A ban on animal testing would promote research for other testing methods. Up to 90% of animals used in U.S. labs are not counted in the official statistics of animals tested. Animals used in laboratories are deliberately harmed, not for their own good, and are usually killed at the end of the experiment. Animal experiments include: injecting or force feeding animals with potentially harmful substances, surgically removing animals' organs or tissues to deliberately cause damage. The U.S. law allows animals to be burned, shocked, poisoned, isolated, starved, drowned, addicted to drugs, and brain-damaged. In conclusion, animal testing needs to be stopped because it violates animal rights and it causes pain and suffering for the animals. Please help us stop them!
