Animal testing is a terrible thing that companies will do to "make their products safer." The problem with animal testing is that people think that it is needed for a product but its only accurate 40-60% of the time. They basically hurt the animals for no reason but there are other ways to make products safe that are scientifically proven to work like:

• Testing cells and tissues in test tubes or cell cultures
• Computational and mathematical models
• Stem cell research  
• Non-invasive diagnostic imaging
• 3D tissue culture, also referred to as organs-on-a-chip  
• Clinical research involving people

 If you think animal testing is just putting makeup on animals then your wrong, they will cut open the animals skin and insert chemicals in their skin or in their eyes. This is bad for them because it can cause infections and the animals could die. When the animals get the infections theirs nothing they can really do they just die from a very painful infection and they dont even have vets for them in the animal testing lab.

More then 50 million animals are killed a year just in the U.S to animal testing. Only 3% of animals survive animal testing. Many animal testers will just kill the animals if they survived to use their tissues and cells for more testing. 

Animal testers keep dogs, cats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys and even cows or horses in really bad conditions much like puppy mills. Many people think that the test are painless but they actually cause the animals a lot of stress and pain to the animals. If you love your pet you wouldn't want them in those conditions would you?
