Animals in circuses, zoos, and amusement parks across the world and North America are experiencing deplorable conditions, often being subjected to cruel training methods, unsafe living conditions, and unnecessary transportation for our entertainment. Equally disturbing practices exist in laboratories, where animals are used for cosmetic and medical testing. Animal rights, which should be fundamentally respected, are routinely compromised for human pleasure or curiosity. 

It's estimated that tens of thousands of elephants, tigers, bears, and other animals are used in the entertainment industry, while many others, including mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals, are locked within laboratories for invasive and often deadly experiments. This information is based on data compiled by the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

We call on our leaders to implement stringent laws prohibiting animal rides, testing, unnecessary relocation, and exploitation in any form of entertainment. Robust systems of accountability and inspection should enforce these laws. Also, create space for alternatives such as virtual reality exhibits or cruelty-free circuses to prosper.
