Stop animal abuse for entertainment in Visakhapatnam
The Issue
link to the video proof I recently witnessed a deeply disturbing scene near Thatichetlapalem junction in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India on 4th June 2026 at 7:50 pm onwards. A monkey was tied to a rope while a dog was being provoked to attack it, and indeed, the dog managed to bite the monkey, something I captured in my video.
This heartbreaking scenario is not an isolated incident. There are several cases of animals like monkeys, birds, and dogs being used in such cruel and abusive ways, all in the name of entertainment. The suffering these animals endure is unimaginable, stripping away their dignity and subjecting them to a life of fear and pain. No living being deserves to be used and exploited in such a manner.
Using animals like this not only inflicts physical harm but also causes immense psychological distress. These sentient beings feel pain and fear just like we do. Furthermore, the environment in which they are kept often lacks basic necessities such as adequate food, clean water, and medical care.
India has strong animal welfare laws, including the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, which prohibits such acts of cruelty. However, these laws are often ignored or poorly enforced. We need to urge the local authorities in Visakhapatnam to take action against this illegal and inhumane practice.
I am calling on the citizens of Visakhapatnam and concerned individuals worldwide to stand up against this abuse. We must urge the local government to enforce existing animal protection laws more strictly and to initiate campaigns to educate the public about the rights and welfare of animals.
By signing this petition, you help raise awareness and pressure the authorities to put an end to this cruel entertainment practice. Together, we can ensure that no animal has to suffer for human amusement. Sign the petition and be a voice for these voiceless victims.
