Dear Petition Supporters,

Within a few short days of the opening of the ISPT-owned Forrest Chase store in the Perth CBD, Forrest Chase invited the public to come, shop and collect “Free Candy for Mum”. Depending on which part of the mall they entered, patrons were ambushed into compulsory viewing of larger than life porn-themed shop windows as attached. Based on precedence, this is almost guaranteed to be banned by Ad Standard.

I have updated the petition’s list of addressees to include shopping centre company CEOs Daryl Browning (ISPT) and Stephen Conry (JLL). Both companies have commenced lease arrangements with sex shop Honey Birdette. Both CEOs are so called Male Champions of Change. Both are facilitating this unsolicited and forced exposure to sexually objectifying imagery upon the public. 

Yet again, we call on these shopping centre leaders – Daryl Browning and Stephen Conry included - to put a stop to Honey Birdette’s public displays of porn-style imagery. As we’ve heard, Male Champions are all about “eliminating everyday sexism”. We’re still waiting to see it.
