Hello decent people all over the world!
Another friendly update on our simple campaign to not have to see porn style advertising in our family shopping centres. Is that too much to ask? It's been a while, but we've been doing stuff in the background. In the meantime, the complaints against Horny Boredette have just been clocking up because of more courageous and good people like you who take the trouble to write in about their valid concerns.
So far in 2018, the Board at the ASB have upheld complaints against 3 out of 4 separate ads! Last year 2017 seems to be a very prolific year against Honey Birdett when they clocked up 5 out of 5!
It never ceases to amaze me how the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) tasked with regulating advertising amongst its voluntary members continues to find Honey Birdette ads in breach of the AANA code of ethics over and over again since 2013, yet fail to realise that this recalcitrant advertiser is just playing them for fools! In this currently failed system, companies like Honey Birdette can and will breach the code again with impunity.
Get this, even the peak body for erotic shops in Victoria are up in arms that Horny Boredette can operate in family shopping centres while most of their members are regulated by strict adult shop regs.
