Petition updateSTOP Honey Birdette using porn-style advertising in your family friendly shopping centres.#AvoidWestfield This Christmas!

Due to YOUR support we've exceeded 53,000 signatures! Together with over 8500 of your comments, we are reaching new highs in building a platform to speak for change. THANK YOU, but our fight is not over yet, and we're not going away.
Honey Birdette on the other hand has stooped to new lows with their new Christmas campaign. In response to your concerns of inappropriate material being seen by kids and the objectification of women, their new ads depict lingerie clad ladies straddling Santa in sexualised poses with the distasteful tagline “Sorry kids … We've given Santa a night off”. See attached link of a window at Westfield Doncaster, Victoria only 10m away from where kids take photos with Santa!
We are sending a letter accompanying your signatures to Westfield soon, but before we do and to make sure they do sit up and listen when we do, I, together with many of you are encouraging shoppers to stay safe and AVOID Westfield this Christmas. Just so they get the message, would all 53000+ of you, please go to Westfield's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Westfield/ and say something like:
“My family and I will NOT be shopping at Westfield this Christmas because of your appalling disregard for advertising standards and allowing Honey Birdette to continually use porn-style advertising in their shop windows.”
“My family and I will be avoiding Westfield this Christmas especially all the shops in the vicinity of Honey Birdette because we do not feel safe going there. Porn-style images of women perpetuate dangerous cultural attitudes towards women and my kids don't need it for healthy development.”
And please use this hashtag at the end of your statement so that it can easily be searched and counted by Westfield. #AvoidWestfield
These are just suggestions, and it's better if it comes from you, just as long as we do it! It doesn't need to be long or rude, just assertive and to the point.
I really don't blame Honey Birdette for polluting the communal spaces that we all inhabit because I have come to learn, that is just what they do. The blame is squarely on Westfield and the ASB for allowing this to happen. Julia Clarke, the Head of Corporate Affairs at the Scentre Group (Westfield Management) says that they have worked “closely with Honey Birdette” and “implements a number of processes - on a case-by-case basis - which may address any customer concerns”. So, in working with Honey Birdette, they would know about this ad before its release surely. Have they intentionally endorsed it and allowed it? Despite all their rhetoric and fancy corporate slogans about gender equality and anti-domestic violence, I'm beginning to be persuaded that Westfield are aiding and perpetuating this problem.
TOGETHER we can win this for the sake of our women and children who have to live with the real life effects of porn in our culture.
THANK YOU once again for your continued support. I look forward to keeping you posted of any updates.
