The Allen County Commissioners on Wednesday passed a motion to draft a purchase agreement for a property at 2911 Meyer Road to erect the new jail. The site, located between Fort Wayne and New Haven, less than a mile south of S.R. 930.

This is right next to the Neighborhood of Sunnymede. A neighborhood that is quiet and peaceful. A neighborhood filled with families and children. We have our own public park with baseball diamonds that many young teams come to play at. Putting a jail in our backyards will destroy our property values and our little community.
