Dear Supporter
Around 50 people are to be deported on the charter flight to Jamaica in just a few days. Nearly all we know about have a Windrush link and British families here.
They include veterans who served in the British Army, discharged with PTSD & no aftercare , grandparents & parents , for one young blind man, shockingly the Home Office say he can be cared for by his elderly grandmother in Jamaica even though she has a letter from her doctor saying she cannot. Two of those being deported are supposed to be witnesses to a death in a detention centre at the forthcoming Inquest next month.
We are asking you to take some of the urgent actions set out below to oppose this.
Because the Jamaican government accept such deportations & comply because they receive money from the UK government;
1. Attend the protest outside the Jamaican High Commission tomorrow at 12 noon.

Because the deportation flights are operated by Titan Airways & piloted by commercial pilots who are members of the union BALPA;
4. Write to BALPA asking them to call on their members to not take on these jobs;

We need an Independent Public Inquiry into the Windrush Scandal, my trade union, the PCS have called for this through this petition, please can you sign & share so that this issue is raised in Parliament as there should not be any deportations like this until therr is one. There is still far too much injustice and distress being caused to families.
