Petition updateStop All Aboard Florida from using the FEC train tracks. They should build new tracks west of our towns without the use of U.S. Government backed loans or funds.Let Stuart City Manager, Paul Nicoletti, know how you feel about a stop today.

Florida NOT All AboardEast Coast, FL, United States

Please e-mail Paul Nicoletti and let him know how you feel about a stop in Stuart. He is still advocating for a stop. Where will AAF even build a stop? If All Aboard Florida chooses to double track to the bridge, Stuart will lose over 100 parking spaces. Our downtown businesses should be voicing there concerns loudly. AAF will have a very negative impact on their businesses and a stop does not mitigate the bridge or parking issues.
Our communities should be uniting together to stop AAF, not vying to be the first community with a stop!

“Stuart has continually maintained its position that since the (All Aboard) trains must slow down to navigate the trestle bridge across the St. Lucie River, and the two sharpest curves on the north-south corridor, the (All Aboard) passenger trains should stop in Stuart before any other communities are considered,” Nicoletti said. All Aboard Florida locomotives would potentially reduce personal automobile fuel by about 6.7 million gallons, according to the impact statement, and a downtown Stuart stop could further increase the environmental and economic benefits, according to Nicoletti."
