Quick update to let you know: The zoning council is seeking guidance from the community advisory board. There was an overwhelming turnout (standing room only) of many people from across the city who have had horrible experiences with short term rentals in their neighborhoods. 
Thanks to all who wrote to the council and showed up. Please continue to let your neighborhood associations know about your experiences and thoughts.
