Stop AI from taking over the Halloweencostumes Design Program

The Issue

Halloweencostumes.com has been allowing AI generated designs into their Halloween designer program. This has been taking away from real artists who put time and work into their designs. I and several others have proposed that any and all AI submissions that are currently up for voting to be disqualified from the competition, and for any future attempts at submitting an AI submission faces rejection. This will assure that only designs of human-made talent will be up for voting. This isn't the only issue the competition has, but its the biggest one that should be dealt with as soon as we can.

UPDATE 4/15/2026: Here are some current stats.6th place, 11th place, 19th place, 23rd place, 26th place, 27th place, 30th place, 44th place, 45th place out of the current top 50 are AI generated. This is 9/50, or 18% of the top 50, is AI generated. But if we go to top 100, that number goes to around 15-18, or 15% or 18% of the top 100. For a competition meant to show communal creativity, this an oddly high number of AI generated entries. But if we go to the full 900+ entries, then its around ¼ of all entries being AI generated.

UPDATE 4/21/2026: Thumbnail has been changed. Spook365 has deleted their AI submissions a few days ago and posted drawn versions of their submissions today. I'd like to thank them for their willingness to change, bringing us one step further to having less AI dominate the competition. East Coast Haunters in a few days and Tom will be there. If you are going as well and are concerned, voice your opinion to him in a polite and respectful manner.
