Pets4Homes are a disgrace and this year is no different. Unscrupulous, unlicensed breeders dealers and scammers are currently taking advantage of this free platform to advertise dogs, cats, rabbits as Christmas gifts. Why are those adverts allowed? And why do people throw money at those dealers, sometimes thousands of pounds for a dog that could be sick and dying, possibly smuggled into the UK from Europe as we know is happening. This year has been an absolute disaster for animals with people so desperate for pets they have purchased right, left and centre without thinking it through, often without the commitment or the financial back up. Rescue centres are already struggling and didn't need the extra pressure. What is it going to be like after Christmas?

What can we do about this when most people don't seem to care and fuel the trade?

Some good news among all this - Shpock recently banned the sale of animals from their platform and deleted the pet section entirely. 

Out of all the classified sites, Pets4Homes are the worst. Literally a breeding ground for unscrupulous dealers.

We are again reporting those disgusting Christmas adverts, which we shouldn't have to since it is against the posting rules.

Animals shouldn't be sold in the run up to Christmas! They are for life!

Also please can I ask you to sign and share the petition to ban the third party sale of all pets which would bring small mammals, fish, birds, reptiles in line with puppies and kittens. No animal should be sold in a shop and Lucy's Law should be extended to all pets. We need an extra 4,100 signatures by 6 January for the government to respond.
