Sharing these horrific pictures and story posted by Northumberland County Council today, in the hope that the previous owner can be traced and prosecuted.

This poor female lurcher is about 3 years old. She was found in a field in the Blyth area two weeks ago. She is missing most of her fur and is half the weight that she should be. She’s been named Tiggy.

Tiggy is in safe hands but it will be a long road to recovery. It's heartbreaking to think about how much she has suffered. She could have died of cold and starvation and it's a miracle that she was found before it was too late. 

Be strong Tiggy. You are now safe and loved.
