Good Afternoon Supporters,
Hope you are all safe with Cyclone Alfred finally reaching land in SEQ.
As previously advised, Human Habitats on behalf of Riverview Development Holdings Pty Ltd have officially submitted a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) Application for a 7 Storey Community Housing Building on the corner of McEwan Street and Station Road Riverview.
This MID Application has been officially submitted to the Queensland Government to consider and it bypasses the red tape the Ipswich City Council has in place for these types of developments.
The MID Application is currently open for community consultation until Friday, 4 April 2025.
Below is the link for the MID Application, which allows the public to view the lodged documents relating to the application, which comprises of 58 (1 and 2 Bedroom) Units over a 7 Storey building.
Local residents have many concerns with the main one being the lack of infrastructure in Riverview and the surrounding suburbs to support the 58 proposed Units plus the already approved Development Application of 114 (3 Bedroom) Townhouses which are currently being privately sold from $619,000.00 on the same parcel of land as this proposed 7 Storey Building.
Riverview is being inundated with other large DA applications on Moggill Ferry Riverview which proposes six (6), 3 to 5 Storey Buildings comprising of 240 (2 and 3 Bedroom) Units, 52 new individual Housing Blocks with Parkland on Old Ipswich Road Riverview and other DA applications in the current Riverview area (too many to list) currently being considered by the Ipswich City Council.
I’m asking (if you are willing) to lodge a Submission on this MID application to advise the Queensland State Government of your concerns on this 7 Storey Building in our suburban community.
There are three ways to make a Submission –
1. Click ‘Make a Submission’ on the ‘Requests Open for Consultation’ webpage under MID Application MID-0125-0905
2. Email your Submission to ‘infrastructuredesignation@dsdilgp.qld.gov.au’
3. Post your Submission to PO Box 15009 City East QLD 4002
Thanks for your time.
Louise
P.S. There are currently 2 signs erected on the Paladin Projects fencing surrounding the construction site, which is the Public Notification as outlined in the MID Guidelines and Rules.
