I have decided to set up this petition to save Bandeath Stray Dog Shelter from closure in December 2016. Bandeath was funded by Central Scotland Police along with Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and Stirling councils.Funding has now been pulled by Police Scotland, while Falkirk and Clackmannanshire councils have also stopped their funding contributions leaving Stirling Council to cover the costs alone.This shelter has provided safety and care for dogs who have been abandoned, lost or found since 1980. My own family has rescued many dogs who have become family members from Bandeath.The unfortunate closure has been put down to funding issues but I'm sure a lot of people care enough about these animals to try to save the only place in this area -- providing a safe sanctuary for dogs until they are able to be re-homed.
