Today is his little sister’s birthday. If he couldn’t spend it with us, we should of at least felt that he was feeling supported & being well looked after. Instead yesterday’s meeting didn’t go well at all & my son was antagonised by the doctor. He was made to sit in a room and hear the conversation about the guardian/ public trustee stuff. My son is completely against his wishes and not in his best interest at all. He was told to shhh, when trying to advocate for himself. He was made to feel like  his voice did not matter. He had been pushed to the point where got extremely upset when his words were not heard and expressed this in a physical way. I do not condone someone physically pushing a person but when do we acknowledge how far my son as been push emotionally and mentally in place that is meant to provide care to him.
The power imbalance in that room yesterday was huge. How is a doctor who is meant to be caring for a person enabled with the power to just push and push until someone can take no more...

Now my son has been transferred to a mental health facility over 1 hour away from our family home and away from all his supports. So on his little sisters birthday instead of being here with us, he’s sitting scared and alone far from home.
He’s called me to say his head is hurting and he’s scared for his safety... I didn’t even get any information he was being transferred so I could visit him before hand. I had to call the hospital myself after receiving a call from my son crying. To which I was the informed a transfer ambulance was on its way...

What a cruel system that pushes struggling people their to breaking point. 
We will not give up, no matter the distance you try to place between this family.
