A large number of pensioners who buy quality food at M&S in the town centre will find it difficult to travel to the new store at the 5-Town Park. As local schools are close to the town centre, many parents and grand parents shop in Castleford after doing the school run. M&S has been a major landmark for a large number of years and it has become the meeting point for many people. Many people travel to Castleford from outside the area and shop at M&S. Most of us enjoy the sales which attract a large number of shoppers. It is one of the few quality stores in town and it would be greatly missed, should it close.
