Subject: Urgent Appeal for Diversion of Sewage Water from Kham River at Eco Park  

Respected Sir/Madam, 

We, the concerned citizens and environmental volunteers of Sambhajinagar Ploggers under the Vinit Abhedya Foundation, are writing to bring to your urgent attention the pressing issue of sewage water flowing into the Kham River near the Kham Eco Park.  

Kham Eco Park has been a valuable green space for our city, providing a serene environment for citizens to engage in recreational and environmental activities. As a part of our commitment to community well-being, we have been organizing a weekly Book Reading Activity - The Social Shelf every Sunday at the park. However, the persistent stench and airborne pollutants (aerosols) from the sewage discharge have significantly impacted our experience and the ecological health of the park.  

Previously, we were assured that this sewage issue would be addressed. We now urge you to fulfill this commitment and take immediate action to divert the sewage away from the Kham River to preserve the park’s cleanliness, public health, and biodiversity. This issue demands prompt intervention, as continued neglect may lead to further deterioration of this vital public space.  

As responsible citizens, we have pledged to maintain the park as a zero-waste zone and have already signed the necessary declarations to uphold this commitment. We now look forward to your leadership in ensuring that municipal and cantonment authorities take the required steps to resolve this environmental concern at the earliest.  

We appreciate your efforts in creating and maintaining such public spaces and trust that you will prioritize this matter with the urgency it deserves. We seek your response and action plan at the earliest and congratulate you in advance for addressing this crucial issue.
